![]() Hello All PT Cruisers and Owners, I am ‘Blue 2’, a member of PT Boutique. I originally started my PT Cruisin’ journey with a great guy named Scott.
Scott is Bill’s son, and we had many fun adventures. He likes to drive FAST and play his music LOUD. Not sure why, but he wanted a PT Turbo, so he sold me to Bill and Linda. If you don’t know Linda, you need to know that sometimes she is a little hard to keep up with. As she started telling me the things she was going to do to me, I got a bit overwhelmed. She is the first human to understand me and what will really make me happy.
They started by putting on a Mopar step pad to hide some scratches. Then Aaron (Linda’s youngest son) went to work installing a Billet Aluminum fuel door, TYC taillights, and Revelations stainless pillar post covers. I thought, wow, I look great, but I was told this is just the start.
![]() I was a little tired, but Aaron and Bill continued to place more items on me; rear bumper pillow, chrome bumper trim, simulated dual exhaust tips, and then a polished rear hatch strut cover kit. Linda was sure a good supervisor and made sure everything was just fine. They gave me a short break then back they came, this time, my interior was started.
![]() They started by adding my new Grant steering wheel cover, then they started adding the MRK line. I got a pair of sun visor badges, front and rear power window switch covers, AC knobs and vent covers, seat handle covers, and door lock switches. Linda wanted a little dazzle so they added 2 dash jewels, and 4 door lock jewels. Then came the chrome interior eyelids. By this time I hoped they were ready to stop because I was exhausted. Linda told me the next day we were headed for Florida, and the weather would be warm. I was so excited until she drove me into the vender trailer. Just think how it was to sit in the dark for two days, especially with all this new chrome to show off. We arrived at American Car Craft. It’s an incredible place. They drove me inside next to a Corvette and a Prowler. Lisa and Rick were so glad to see me. Little did I realize what they were going to do to me. Bill told me to take it like a man and I would be very proud of myself when they finished. They started by removing my hood and setting it upside down on a workbench where they installed the stainless steel underhood panels. Someone came inside and installed chrome trim around my instruments, radio and air bag cover. Someone else took my grill off and installed a machined aluminum hinge. There was lots of drilling around where my hood should be and then they started screwing things on me. So much noise with all those tools. Someone did something to my rear end while all this was happening up front. I’ve never felt so assaulted. There were at least 6 people who worked on me that day.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When they were all done, I had my hood back on and it opened backwards! There was lots of shiny chrome under my hood. I had a new shiny grill. There was new chrome inside and my ugly muffler was covered by this beautiful piece of stainless steel. We waved goodbye and all the crew got many Thanks. Boy I was proud. Linda then told me she had another surprise; we were going to St. Augustine. Again, back I had to go in the Vender trailer. We were greeted by the famous Mr. Mike. Little did I know what he had planned.

As you can see Mr. Mike made my interior fit for a King. My seats and door pads and head rest are dark slate leather and zodiac blue with electric blue and silver tinsel welts in up and over 2-tone. The logo was created by Mark from ‘Purple Jalopy’, ACC followed with my under hood etching, and Mr. Mike had the same logo embroidered on the seat backs by Mr. Tim. He also had Mr. Tim embroider a ‘trunk bag’ that has my logo on one side and PT Boutique on the other. I get more thrilled with each new experience, and the girl PT Cruiser’s are starting to wink at me. Linda again has told me there is more to come, and I will be really handsome. Our travels went on and when we did Turning Stone, Mark with Purple Jalopy started with his creative touch.
![]() Mark spent a lot of time with my theme. It was inspired by Linda’s love for Arizona and the Florida ocean. The waves are done in Cobalt Blue Ultra Metallic, 2 mil graphic film. The sun is a 3 mil, yellow graphic film. The side panels have been started also and they are the True-Shadow “ghost” graphic film. In between events Bill has continued to put more items on me. I also have been given some really nice gifts from Johnny 5, Kevin with PT Woody, Melodi Reno, Master Engraver “Paul W. Howe” and lots of advice from all the wonderful PT Community. I especially get many opinions from your cars. You can’t imagine what we PT Cruiser’s do after you go to bed. Let’s just say a few of us play PT Cruiser Poker, and the GIRL Cruiser’s come over to keep us company. Us guys just Love it.
![]() ![]() ![]() Bill loves playing with me when Linda does not have him doing other business things. Here you can see my new dashboard stainless pieces and sill plates from ACC, new front bumper trim from PT Woody, Autotecnica door handle protectors, yellow and blue Silblades, new tire jewels. I also got a MOPAR Hurst shifter and a new billet handbrake handle. Oh, and I almost forgot, Electric Blue door handle surrounds from MRK. I have had so much fun traveling to all the events from the West Coast, East Coast, Midwest and the Southern part of the USA. I love getting my e-mails and can’t wait to start the Fall events. I also have a new brother. He is a ‘Cruisin Cooler” named Lil Blue. Mr. Mike did his seats to match me. Linda has way too much fun riding him, but I’m not jealous. Linda keeps telling me she is not done, I can only wonder what she has planned next.

LASTEST ADDITIONS 11/13/06
As you all know, I asked Linda for some new additions, and she said they would come. I wish you could have seen Linda when she acted like a kid in a candy store, as my new cosmetics were added. First Michael Swann took his famous talent and created a pin striping to my hatch, to accent the works of Purple Jalopy and Mr. Mike Interiors. Then he added my name to the front fenders. Lil Blue was jealous.
The next item was a little painful, but again Bill told me to take it like a man (not sure if he ever has had to go through what I have been through), but I listened. Jeffery Spring with Custom Tire and Tire Tattoos added a double Electric Blue Striping around my tires. The crowd was thrilled. First he jacked up one tire, cleaned it then (this was the painful part) grooved my tire and then came and did the paint using rubber paint. I almost fainted on this, but then I had to endure this three more times. When he finished the crowd clapped and Linda was jumping up and down. You all know how she gets. It’s ok, Bill calmed her down.
I thought well this is cool, then Mark and Jody with Purple Jalopy came and put the wording Chrysler done with the same vinyl as my side panels. This was installed on my front Chrome Bumper panels.
Yes I am feeling very good about myself, and I can’t wait to see what Linda has planned next for me.
Hope to meet you all soon, ‘Happy Cruisin, ‘Blue 2” and Lil’ Blue
Guess What I Got For Christmas You all know the story about coal in your stocking. Well I have been good this past year, but I felt like I got coal. Mom Linda told me I was getting new parts, but they were going to be shipped to AZ and I would get them in January. She also reminded me of all the great stuff I have gotten this year. Then she told me I was getting another Little Brother and a Sister. Now I am thinking why do I need another brother, and why do I need a sister? I already have to put up with ‘Lil Blue, who gets lots of attention. She then introduced me to Tin Man Blue. I had to think: how could Bill let her do this? Then she introduced me to Gracie. Now this is not fair. Gracie gets to ride in the Motor Home, while my brothers and I have to ride in the dark in the trailer. I am not happy about this, but Gracie is called Princess Gracie, and she is cute. She purred when she saw me, so I decided she was Ok. Bill told me to take it like a man and to set a good example as I was the oldest. What is a guy to do?? I hope your car/truck got a better day than I did, but I love all my new stuff, even though it has not been installed yet. Happy Cruisin, ‘Blue 2’ PS: Autotecnica free shipping ends January 31 | |
