The 57 series air intake offers all the benefits and design functions of the 67 series while also being 50 State street legal and carb exempt in California. The fuel injection performance kit (FPIK) from K&N Engineering is a dramatic improvement over the previous, the new FPIK generation II air intake system features the largest conical shaped high-flow air filter possible, even using existing mounting holes and points with no fabrication required. The over-sized filter enables a huger increase in airflow over stock replacement filters that are limited to size of the air box.

When possible, the filter is isolated from high engine temperatures by a heat shield designed to lower the temperature of air entering the engine. This cooler air is denser, resulting in more powerful combustion and increased horsepower. Feeding this cleaner, cooler air to your engine is a rotationally molded tube made from interlaced high density polyethylene (HDPE). This unique process results in a precisely shaped tube that reduces turbulence and increases airflow into the engine.
