Performance enhancing products can and do save fuel. Your engine runs more efficiently when you can get more air into the engine with a high performance intake and exhaust, you have a great combination of improved performance and better fuel economy.

So how do I get better performance and better economy, you might be thinking? The answer is all in how you drive. If you use the power mods to accelerate and drive faster all the time, you will do a good job of using lots more fuel and will have a lot of fun in the process. On the other hand, the improved air flow, exhaust flow, spark, and optimization with a performance module will allow lighter throttle application to get the same performance you had before the mods. Less throttle translates to better mileage. There was a study by BMW during one of the energy crisis in the 70's. It showed that brisk accelleration to cruising speed, then light throttle at cruise produced the best gas mileage.
